It is with profound sadness, that the Conductor, Manager, staff and Members of CBYO learnt of the passing of our friend, colleague and mentor Michele Strong .
For over 30 years, in addition to teaching Double Bass at the City of Belfast School of Music, Michele tutored our double bass sections nurturing, developing and mentoring players to achieve the highest standards of performance.
In Michele, our young musicians were blessed not only to have a very talented tutor, but also a loyal friend whose support they could always rely upon
.
We will miss her gentile nature, warmth, friendship and loyalty and Saturday mornings just won't be the same again. Our sincerest condolences go to Kevin and Michele's family and our friends at the Ulster Orchestra, for whom this loss will be felt deeply. May she rest in peace.
