Safety Protocols

Extenuating Circumstances – COVID 19

It is important to note that if your son/daughter or any member of your household are displaying the symptoms of COVID 19 they must NOT attend their lesson or group activity.

Parents must collect students on time after their lesson/rehearsal they must remain outside the main door and maintain social distancing at all times

Students must not congregate outside the building.

Students must maintain a 2 metre distance at all times. EA -CBSM -Fortwilliam Centre Procedures

Students should not enter the building more than 10 minutes before their lesson time.

Students must wear a mask/face covering whilst in the corridors of the Fortwilliam Centre

Upon entering the building students are required to stop and use the hand sanitisation station.

Upon entering the building students will be guided by CBSM staff to their lesson /rehearsal room.

Students and staff must maintain a 2 metre distance at all times.

Lesson Room

Students must sanitise their hands whilst waiting outside the teaching room, hand sanitiser will be provided, alternatively students may wish to use their own

.

Students must not enter the room until indicated to do so by their tutor.

On entering the room the tutor will indicate where the student should place their case.

Students must bring their own stands to their lessons.

2 metre marks are indicated on the floor.

A clear screen will be positioned between staff and students during lessons

Windows will be open to ventilate the rooms.

If a chair is required in the lesson students are required to wipe down the chair after the lesson, wipes will be provided.

Percussion students must wipe down any equipment that is touched during the lesson/rehearsal.

Any waste products should be placed in a bag, tied and placed in the waste bin, bags will be provided

.

During the lesson students must mark their own music, pens, pencils must not be shared

.

Percussion students must bring their own sticks to lessons/rehearsals.

On leaving the room students must sanitise hands and wear face covering.

Rehearsal Rooms for Group Activities

Students must sanitise their hands whilst waiting outside the rehearsal room, hand sanitiser will be provided alternatively students may wish to use their own.

Students must not enter the room until indicated to do so by the sectional tutor

On entering the room the sectional tutor will indicate where the student should place their case and stand.

Students must bring their own stand to the sectional rehearsal.

2 metre marks are indicated on the floor.

A clear screen will be positioned between staff and students during rehearsals

Windows will be open to ventilate the rooms.

Students are required to wipe down their chairs after the rehearsal, wipes will be provided.

Percussion students must wipe down any equipment that is touched during the rehearsal. The equipment in the percussion rooms has been laid out into zones. This will enable students to play a particular group of instruments safely, there will be no crossing of bubbles

Any waste products should be placed in a bag, tied and placed in the waste bin, bags will be provided
